Embracing The Journey Annual Gala

Hello my friends!  As the Fall season is approaching, the team at For Kidney's Sake are.excited to be preparing for our 4th Annual Patient Awards Dinner/Gala. The theme of this year's dinner will be "Embracing the Journey".

Our gala will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 4pm to 9pm at Antun's of Queens Village.  Each year we honor 50-60 CKD/dialysis patients from the NYC & Long Island areas. In more recent years, we have also begun to honor members of the medical team as well.

4th Annual Patient Awards Dinner/Gala Flyer

As you may know Kidney Disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the U.S. and quickly rising. African-Americans are 3x more likely and Hispanic-Americans are 1.5x more likely to develop Chronic Kidney Disease than their Caucasian counterparts. As a dialysis patient myself, each day I not only see the physical, emotional and mental effects of this on others .... I live it myself! We at FKS provide many opportunities for socialization, recreation and disease management education for patients, but we cannot do it alone and without the necessary funds.

All proceeds go towards patient programming and educational materials. Please support our efforts by placing an ad in our journal, attending the dinner or purchasing tickets that can be donated to a patient who may want to attend or simply making a tax deductible donation. Sponsorship tables of 10 are available also that include a full page color ad. I truly hope that you will support us in our mission to improve the lives of dialysis patients, one day at a time.
